The Coalition for the Future of Research In Ireland has been established in June 2026 to represent deep concerns across the Irish research community about the strategy and direction of Research Ireland.
The coalition includes:
- Irish Federation of University Teachers (IFUT)
- Irish Research Staff Association (IRSA)
- Postgraduate Workers Organisation (PWO)
- The Climate Justice Universities Union (CJUU)
- The Union of Students in Ireland / Aontas na Mac Léinn in Éirinn (AMLÉ)
- Irish Humanities Alliance / Comhaontas Daonnachtaí na hÉireann (IHA) - hosted by the Royal Irish Academy (RIA)
- The Fellows of Trinity College Dublin
- The Centre for Cultures, Academic Values in Education (CAVE) at Trinity College Dublin
- Leading academics and researchers
- Concerned members of the public
